Nyali MP Mohamed Ali aka Moha Jicho Pevu has said Minority Chief Whip Junet Mohamed’s time for removal will come soon after he succeeds in his push for the impeachment of Transport CS James Macharia.
Ali was reacting after Junet discouraged ODM legislators from signing the motion to impeach CS Macharia.
Ali wants to impeach CS Macharia for what he terms as gross misconduct and violation of the Constitution.
Through a WhatsApp text, the Suna East MP distanced himself from the impeachment and advised both ODM and NASA party members not to support the motion.
“Hon Members, our attention has been drawn to a motion being circulated by Hon Mohamed Ali for the purported impeachment of CS Transport James Macharia. Kindly note that the party/coalition DOES NOT support this purported motion. Members are urged to desist from appending signatures to the said motion,” Junet said.

Reacting to this on social media, Ali vowed that Junet’s time will come after Macharia is ousted.
“To Hon Junet Mohamed, your time will come!” the MP said.
In a statement dated June 6, Ali communicated his intentions to remove Macharia from office.
He accuses CS Macharia of “committing perjury, failing to deliver on key infrastructures such as bridges, highways, seaports and airports”.
“He also failed to account for the loss of Sh1.5 billion meant for Suraya Property Housing Project in Nairobi. Macharia was also involved in the loss of Sh.2 billion,” the statement reads.
The Nyali legislator added that he is seeking Macharia’s impeachment “for the people of Mombasa who are doomed to serious economic loss because of his actions in forcing through illegal actions to prop up the profitability of the SGR,”
“I do this to send a message to cartels that have settled comfortably into patterns of theft from the public purse under the cabinet secretaries’ watch,”
According to the Nyali MP, Kenyans should not place their confidence in a person who has breached laws to the advantage of the corrupt.
