Kenya’s Ambassador to Qatar Paddy Ahenda

Kenya’s Ambassador to Qatar Paddy Ahenda is dead.  This was confirmed by the family on Monday morning, saying the envoy died in hospital in Doha.

He reportedly suffered stroke.

The former Kasipul Kabondo MP’s wife Millie Ahenda, said her late husband had been in the ICU for a week. He was MP between 2005 and 2007.

Ahenda was appointed ambassador by President Uhuru Kenyatta in October 2018.

Ambassador Ahenda’s death comes days after Kenya’s High Commissioner to Nigeria Wilfred Machage collapsed and died in his house in Abuja. He was 65 years old.

Kenya Ambassador to South Sudan Chris Mburu also collapsed and died in Juba in September 2020.
