The board also recognised her contribution to the progress of Kenyan communities, especially in the face of Covid-19 pandemic, while leading the recovery process.

In her acceptance speech, Muchemi said she was humbled to accept the award.

“This gives me even a greater opportunity to continue my contribution to economic development, employment and the overall entrepreneurship innovation and growth in Africa and beyond,” she added.

She said her company consists of 13 companies operating in various sectors, including telecommunications, hospitality, media and entertainment, agribusiness, health, micro-financial services and fintech.
