Ukraine seeks mutual recognition of Covid-19 vaccine certificates with Kenya

Ukraine has requested Kenya for arrangements between the two countries for mutual recognition of vaccination certificates against Covid-19 to boost tourism development.

This emerged on Wednesday when Ukraine Ambassador to Kenya Andrii Pravednyk met with Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala.

During the meeting the sides raised a number of issues on the prospects of further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and Kenya in the field of tourism.

Ukraine has intensified tourism engagements wit Kenya, in April bring in 180 tourists from Odessa to Kenya through a charter plane.

Innohub Group Country Director Maksym Tykhonov presented ideas on possible joint Ukraine-Kenya projects. Innohub is a Ukrainian IT company.

In this connection, an agreement was reached to hold a presentation soon with Innohub Group’s proposals to Kenya’s Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, Kenya’s Tourism Council, Kenya Wildlife Conservation Service and Kenya Tour Operators.
