Edgar Obare charged with disclosing personal data of Joho’s lover

Content Creator and social media sensation Edgar Obare was on Monday arraigned at the Kiambu Law Courts following his arrest last week.

Obare was charged with disclosing personal data.

He had shared Natalie Tewa’s passport on his Instagram stories with claims she had accompanied Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho to Dubai.

Obare pleaded not guilty to the offence and, at the time of publishing, the court had been adjourned pending a bail hearing.

Obare was arrested on Friday in Kisumu. He was then taken to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters for questioning.

Obare had previously taken to his Instagram stories with a string of posts alleging that Kenyan female YouTuber Natalie was part of the entourage that visited ODM leader Raila Odinga in Dubai.

Others in the entourage included MP Junet Mohamed and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho. They had travelled aboard a chartered private Jet.
