I don’t have any friends, I don’t believe in friends – Jowie Irungu

Joseph ‘Jowie’ Irungu released his new single dubbed Nishikilie that has garnered over 158,000 views on his YouTube channel.

He received praises and encouragement from his fans. Gospel musician Mercy Masika also welcomed him to the industry after the release of his gospel song.

In his video, Jowie featured a beautiful little girl. He referred to her as his daughter when the question was brought up.

In the interview, Jowie requested to start with a prayer even before answering any questions.

Jowie is now a changed man. He has left his party life and party friends behind.

“I drink water and energy drinks. I stopped drinking. It was a choice,” Jowie mentioned.

Since the case in which he is a murder suspect is still on-going, it could not be discussed.

After his experience in jail, Jowie believes that he does not have friends and he is okay with that. Jowie is at peace since he does not have to pretend and they don’t have to pretend either. He does not have to waste his time anymore. He doesn’t need friends, just God and family.

“I don’t have friends. I have family. All my friends let me down. Only my family stood by me with their prayers.”said Jowie.

After his time in Kamiti, he appeared to have lost some weight in the interview. He also encourages people to pray for prisoners

“There is no one with as much hope as a prisoner. They believe that one day they will be free.” Jowie said.

At this point in the interview, Jowie almost broke down remembering his time in Kamiti. h admitted to not liking confined spaces. Walls terrify him a lot. Prison drained him.

“When I see walls I always remember my 2 by 3 cubicle in Kamiti. So I like to stay outside just to breathe that air.”

He went on to add, “There is nothing good about being incarcerated. I wouldn’t wish for my worst enemy to go to Kamiti. That’s not a place to be.”

Questions if he is still in contact with Jackie Maribe arose.

“We broke up while I was still locked up. We don’t talk, maybe check up on each other, once in a blue moon.” Jowie mentioned.

Talk about no love lost. He went ahead to give a shoutout to Jackie’s new show and asked guys to subscribe and show her support.
