Nick Mutuma comes out to defend himself after sexual assault allegations resurface

Nick Mutuma admits that the last few days have a nightmare for him, his family, people in his personal and professional life and has decided to come out with his truth.

Rachel Mwangi confessed that there was incident that took place back in 2016 between Nick Mutuma and her.

Rachel’s partner, Koome Gitobu, went ahead and took to social media and posted about the incident in November 2017.

In a statement released by Nick on Monday, 19th October 2020, he finally came out and spoke about the incident linked to him though he admitted it has been very difficult to talk about it.

“I know I am not perfect but I’m not the person these people portray me as. I work towards being a better person but it is so hard to do that when you are constantly being pulled back by people that are convinced you are the monster,” Nick wrote.

Nick expressed that he hated the fact that this issue has gotten in the way of what he has been building for a decade by keeping his head down and working towards his goals.

“Now that my goals are finally within reach, people have been trying to discredit all my hard work and they have done their best to see that my dreams never come true.”

He added, “I don’t want my silence to be misinterpreted as guilt or complacency, I also don’t want to speak and have my words twisted and misinterpreted.

Nick went on to state his stance against any form of abuse towards women.

“I would also like to thank everyone who has stood by me and everyone who has supported me. Your faith in me is not in vain,” Nick signed off.
