Acting Nairobi Governor Benson Mutura has made substantive changes to the cabinet .

In the changes announced on Wednesday, Mutura reinstated Janet Ouko as the county Education executive and transferred Lucia Mulwa to the Agriculture docket.

Jairus Musumba was appointed acting County Secretary, while Brian Weke has been appointed as the Legal adviser to the governor.

Paul Mutungi is the new Chief of Staff at City Hall.

Ouko makes a comeback after her sudden resignation, from the education docket, in January 2019, citing intimidation by now impeached Governor Mike Sonko.

Speaker Mutura was sworn-in as the county’s acting governor on December 21 following the impeachment of Sonko.

Mutura said that his first order of business would be to bring back on track the delivery of crucial services that have stalled-due to lack of funds occasioned by Sonko’s failure to assent to the Finance Bill.
