DJ Evolve seeks to drop attempted murder charge against MP Babu Owino

Felix Orinda also popularly knowns as DJ Evolve who was allegedly shot by Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino seeks to have the attempted murder charge against him.

The DJ was shot at close range and wounded at a popular revellers club known as B-Club in Kilimani but survived and was in critical condition.

A video that has surfaced on Instagram today shows DJ Evolve looking vibrant and well. It is visible that he is recuperating and in great hands. The young DJ even managed to put a huge smile across his face.

According to reports the DJ told the courts through his lawyer Kenneth Mumbo that after intense deliberations with his family, they had agreed that he concentrates on his situation rather than the pending case.

DJ Evolve says the case has affected his healing process due to divided attention.

The Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji set the record straight about the case by putting up a clarification post on Twitter.

“Kindly note that Embakasi East M.P. Babu Owino was arraigned in court on 20th January 2020 over DJ Evolve incident. The matter will be mentioned on 9th November 2020. Further, please note that the Babu Owino case is not a murder case as the Victim is alive,” he wrote.
