A week ago, Amina Mude took to social media to announce that she and her husband, Ben Kitili, were separating after a month of tears and pain.
She even deleted their pictures from her social media accounts
However, Amina publicly apologised to her husband on Tuesday for putting their private life out in the open.
She acknowledged her error and promised to keep their issues away from social media.
“In life, it’s very important to own up to your shortcomings! Hey babe Ben Kitili, I remember when we got married, you told me ‘listen Mulky after all is said and done, marriage is not a bed of roses’ I just smiled and thought ni zile advice zako mingi za life,” the mother of two said.
Amina said she had written about their issues on social media out of anger but journalists exaggerated the issue. She said her duty as a wife was to have her husband’s back through thick and thin.
“But last week it was so clear that you were right, one moment of anger made me write something stupid and the bloggers blew it out of proportion. I have learnt my lessons the hard way. As a wife, it’s my duty to respect and protect my husband,” she wrote.
“And so, I want to clear the air, Ben and I are married. He will always be the man I love and honour all the days of my life,” she stated.
Ben and Kitili got married in 2018 in a private ceremony officiated at the Attorney General’s wife. The reception was only attended by family members and close friends.
