Mediamax shuts down entire floor after employee tests Covid-19 positive

Mediamax Network, the owners of K24 TV, People Daily, Kameme FM and TV and Mille FM — has been forced to shut down an entire floor after one of the employees in the finance department tested positive for Covid-19.

The employee has since been self-isolated at home according to home-based care guidelines.

Through a memo dated July 12, acting CEO  Ken Ngaruiya directed all members of the department to self-isolate for 14 days. The company also said that it arranged for teh fumigation of teh facility and ordered a lockdown of the third floor until Tuesday.

Mediamax headquarters are at DSM place, along Kijabe street.

The company recently fired more than 100 employees, citing hard economic impacts of Covid-19.
