Tanzania President Samia Suluhu Hassan has this morning arrived in Kenya for a two-day State visit.
President Hassan was received at JKIA by Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Raychelle Omamo and her Sports counterpart Amina Mohamed.
“While in Kenya, she will hold bilateral talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta, attend a Kenya-TZ business Forum and address a joint session of Parliament,” Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
Tanzania Foreign Affairs Minister Liberata Mulamula and Kenyan Ambassador to Tanzania Dan Kazungu, among other top officials are accompanying Suluhu.
This will be her second international trip after Uganda, a clear departure from former President John Maugufuli who rarely travelled.
Other than an address of joint Parliament, Kenya will give the Tanzanian President an elaborate State honours, including a 21-gun salute.
