Citizen TV news anchor Waihiga Mwaura has been appointed as the new Special Projects Editor for Citizen TV, effective October 1, 2020.

The News Night host will be in charge of all features done by Citizen TV, investigative stories, Special reports and planning for special events, a memo to the media house staff shows.

“I am happy to announce the appointment of Waihiga Mwaura as the new Special Projects Editor for Citizen TV effective October 1st 2020.

In this role Waihiga will be in charge of features, investigative stories, special reports and forward planning for special events on Citizen TV,” the memo said.

Effectively, Mwaura succeeds Asha Mwilu, who resigned to start her own company, Debunk Media. It is a pioneer in digital media in Africa that brings together journalists, data scientists, filmmakers, illustrators and animators through the art of storytelling to make sense of current issues.
