Makueni Governor Kiutha Kibwana has declared his presidential bid.
In a tweet, Kivutha said he is going all the way to the ballot.
“I have listened to the voice of Wanjiku asking me to run for presidency in the coming election. I am available, ready and willing to be Wanjiku’s President. Will go all the way to the Ballot Box with Wanjiku in 2022. We must ensure devolution works for our communities,” he tweeted on Friday.
Kibwana is now expected to face Deputy President William Ruto and Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, who have already declared their presidential ambitions.
This is however, not the first time he is declaring his interest.
In August last year, Kibwana said he will try his luck in the country’s top seat in 2022.
“I mentioned this month that I’ll be on the ballot come 2022,” Kibwana said during the Fifth Annual Tobong’u Lore (welcome home) Festival in Turkana.
