Former Starehe MP Bishop Margaret Wanjiru has been put in ICU at the Aga Khan University after being diagnosed with Covid-19.
Citizen TV in its 7pm bulletin said a popular female politician had been hospiatlised and on oxygen support.
Details have emerged that the said politician is Wanjiru.
She reportedly hosted 18 people at her place before she got sick and rushed to hospital.
Out of the 18 people, nine have also tested positive.
On Thursday, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe confirmed 80 more coronavirus cases, the highest number in a day since the virus was first announced in the country on March 12.
