Controversial online blogger Cyprian Andama Nyakundi was, on Monday afternoon, arrested on claims of extortion.

Nyakindi was arrested at Westgate Mall in Westlands by DCI sleuths minutes after allegedly receiving a sh i million bribe.  The bribe was ostensibly given to facilitate the deletion of a media post he had posted on his website attacking a corporate facility.

According to the DCI, the money was a down payment of Ksh17.5 million they had earlier demanded as a precondition for pulling down libelous posts.
