Kenya records 74 new covid-19 cases from 1, 574 samples within the last 24 hours

Kenya has recorded 74 new covid-19 cases after testing 1, 574 samples within the last 24 hours.

The total number of people that have tested positive since the pandemic began is 1, 962. One person from Kayole has passed away, bringing the total number of deaths to 64.

In terms of the age range, the youngest is 3 years and the oldest is 79 years.

14 people have been discharged from hospital after recovering from the virus. The total number of recoveries now stands at 474.

In terms of distribution, Nairobi had 35 cases; Langata (19), Embakasi East (3), Embakasi Central (3), Dagoretti North (2), Westlands (2), Embakasi South (2), Kasarani (1), Kamukunji (1), Makadara (1), Starehe (1).

In Mombasa, the cases were as follows; Mvita (11), Kisauni (4), Likoni (3), Nyali (3), Jomvu (1), Changamwe (1).

Currently, 54 health workers have contracted coronavirus in Kenya since the pandemic broke out in Kenya.
