• According to police sources, Tecra might have been involved in a fight with her boyfriend in a cottage in Lamu.

Tecra Karanja, the daughter of Keroche Breweries chairman Joseph Karanja and CEO Tabitha, might have been pushed down a staircase by her boyfriend.

According to police sources, Tecra might have been involved in a fight with her boyfriend in a cottage in Lamu.

The detective said the Strategy and Innovations director at the family business had become a frequent visitor to Lamu, since they met with Lali last year.

She was in Lamu for holiday when the said “tragic accident”, happened on Tuesday last week.

She suffered head injuries.

She was airlifted to The Nairobi Hospital, where she succumbed on Saturday.

The officer informed that the boyfriend, who he named as Lali, is in police custody and investigations are underway.

The family had asked for privacy in their media advisory.

“As we begin preparations for her final send-off, we ask for respect and privacy during these difficult time,” the statement signed off by the brewer’s corporate affairs department said.
