Sudan has demanded an official apology from Uganda over “offensive and dangerous” comments published by Ugandan Twitter freak Chief of Defense Forces Gen. Muhoozi Keinarugaba.
Muhoozi, who is also son of President Yoweri Museveni, on Tuesday in an X (formerly Twitter) post threatened to seize Khartoum as soon as US President-elect Donald Trump assumes office.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sudan in a statement on Wednesday termed the remarks as “reckless and irresponsible”, and that threatening war, violating national sovereignity, or defying the United nations Charter, the African Consttutive Act and international law are far too serious to be trivilized aor used as a means of seeking attention or sensationalism.
“The unprecedented and deviant utterance displays an incredible level of disrespect for international law, the ethos of interstate relations and the principles of mutual respect bestween siterly and friendly nations.
“It further constitutes a complete departure from the accepted code of conduct expected of holders of high official and military positions, who are required to exhibit reason, discipline and careful choice of language in their behaviour,” the statement said.
Consequently, Sudan called on the African Union and regional and international organizations to condemn Gen Muhoozi’s statements, as they pose a clear threat to regional and international peace and security, as well as an insult to Africans.

DRC on Wednesday also summoned Uganda’s Chargé d’Affaires in Kinsasha Matata Twaha Magara to clarify onremarks made by Gen. Muhoozi concerning President Félix Tshisekedi and the alleged presence of foreign mercenaries in eastern DRC.
The meeting, initiated by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner was also prompted by a series of posts on X by Gen Muhoozi.
On December 16, 2024 Muhoozi tweeted, “I’m going to give only ONE WARNING to ALL white mercenaries operating in eastern DRC. From 2nd January 2025, we will attack all mercenaries in our area of operations.”
“In the name of Jesus Christ, the God of all Bachwezi, there shall not be left one white mercenary in DRC this time next year!” he added.
TWEETS ON INVADING KENYA
Gen Muhoozi is known for his reckless posts, and his father, President Museveni, was in October 2022 forced to apologise to Kenya threatened to invade Kenya.
Muhoozi had tweeted, “It wouldn’t take us, my army and me, 2 weeks to capture Nairobi.”
He also at the same tweeted bordering on interference with domestic politics, said he had spoken to Former President Uhuru Kenyatta, and expressed regret that he had stepped down at the end of his two terms in August.
“My only problem with my beloved big brother is that he didn’t stand for a third term. We would have won easily!” Gen Muhoozi said.
After social media uproar from kenyans on Twitter, he responded, “”I would never beat up the Kenyan army because my father told me never to attempt it! So our people in Kenya should relax!”
While Kenya’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not issue a public statement or protest, the Ugandan counterparts said they treasured its “strong bilateral relations” with it “brotherly neighbour”.
This was followed by a statement by President Museveni who said he had spoken to his counterpart William Ruto, and he was “very sorry” about Muhoozi’s tweets.
