Outspoken digital strategist Dennis Itumbi, and four others, were on Wednesday evening formally sacked from the State House jobs.

Identifying themselves as ‘Senior Directors’ within the Presidential Strategic Communication Unit, the five were relived of their duties and the positions scrapped by the Public Service Commission (PSC).

Dennis Itumbi served as the director in charge of Digital Innovations and Diaspora Communications. Others sent home include Eric Ng’eno, James Kinyua, David Nzioka and John Ndolo.

Itumbi has had a controversial run and had vehemently denied any friction with State House despite persistent indications of a rough ride with operatives at the house on the hill.

This development signals the end of a PSCU team that buoyantly made its way into State House during Uhuru Kenyatta’s first term.

As evidence of acceptance of fate, Itumbi reorganized the bio in his Twitter handle with a new info line indicating that he’s now a full-time pig farmer.
