The Embassy of Israel in Nairobi is  looking for a committed, highly capable, charismatic, entrepreneurial, and goal oriented professional to work as economic affairs officer.
The individual will join the Embassy Team in promoting economic activities for the Embassy of Israel in its accredited countries-Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi and Seychelles.

Other responsibilities will include locating and creating business opportunities for Israeli companies and promote Israeli exports and bilateral trade ventures, promoting and maintaining bilateral economic relations between Israel and countries accredited to the Mission – Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi and Seychelles and establish and maintain mid and high-level contacts in governments, business community and economic institutions that are relevant to economic work.

The competencies the mission is looking for include:
Ability to identify and pursue opportunities for cooperation & Ability to initiate and manage joint projects.
Strong networking and advocacy skills, including the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with individuals and organizations from diversity of backgrounds contexts.
Good team working.
Self-motivation and capacity for creative thinking.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Economics or a related discipline.
A minimum of 2 years of progressive responsible experience in an economic field.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal-in English.

Strong proficiency in computer-related skills especially Microsoft Office, Internet and Social Media (especially Twitter and Facebook).
