Health CAS Dr Rashid Aman announced there were 95 positive covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.
3 of the new cases were healthcare workers from Nyeri.
Dr Rashid said healthcare workers will be contracting the disease from time to time.
This is because they are more exposed to the disease when dealing with positive patients.
He commended all healthcare workers who are at the frontline, treating Kenyans well.
“There were three healthcare workers who tested positive for coronavirus in Nyeri. This indicates that our healthcare workers who are in the front-line are have a greater risk of getting covid-19,”
“We’ll see these healthcare workers turning positive from time to time,” he said.

Moreover, the CS said the virus was not a death sentence. People will recover if they seek medical help.
