While speaking at Afya House on Thursday, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe announced that a 6-month-old baby was one of the new covid-19 cases recorded within the last 24 hours. The 80 new covid-19 cases increases the total number of positive cases to 1, 109. CS Kagwe advised parents to be very careful when interacting with other people because they carried the risk of spreading the virus to their infants.

“If you have a baby in the house, then you should be very careful about what you are doing because you know very well you can bring back the infection to the baby. Fathers, mothers and siblings must take utmost care in terms of the preventive measures. We are saying; wear a mask and keep safe distances especially in offices and other places you visit. Do not encourage any visitors. They can come back when your baby has grown,” CS Kagwe said during the briefing.
