Aden Duale survives Jubilee purge, Majority Whip Washiali and Deputy Whip Mbarire ousted

National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has survived the Jubilee purge at the State House Parliamentary Meeting on Tuesday 2nd June.

The Garissa MP has retained his leadership position in the National Assembly.

However, National Assembly Majority Whip MP Benjamin Washiali and Deputy Chief Whip Cecily Mbarire have been ousted.

Mumias East MP Benjamin Washiali was kicked out and his position given to Navakholo MP Emanuel Wangwe.

Nominated MP Cecily Mbarire was replaced by Igembe North MP Maoka Maore as Deputy Majority Whip.

Moreover, the Party Leader appointed Kipipiri MP Amos Kimunya to serve as the Secretary of the Jubilee Coalition Joint Parliamentary Group.

Aden Duale was facing the axe but has been retained in the party. The members endorsed Justin B Muturi to continue serving as the speaker of the national assembly.

Kuresoi North MP Moses Cheboi will continue serving as the Deputy Speaker. Kitutu Chache North MP Jimmy Angwenyi will continue serving as the Deputy Majority leader.
