On Tuesday, FORD Kenya filed documents with Registrar Anne Nderitu on dismissal of Senator Wetangula as Party Leader and his replacement with Wafula Wamunyinyi.
FORD Kenya Secretary General Dr Eseli Simiyu and Party Leader Wafula Wamunyinyi have handed papers to Registrar of Political Parties. The papers indicate the changes on party leadership that were made on 31st May.
Politician Moses Wetangula was removed as FORD Kenya Party Leader on 31st May on accounts of gross misconduct, moral impropriety and violation of the party’s constitution.
Ford Kenya had a special National Executive Council (NEC) meeting at Raddison Blu Hotel in Nairobi. It was led by Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati and the party’s Secretary General Dr Eseli Simiyu

According to Ford Party, Wetangula had failed to champion the party’s campaign to unite the country. He also interfered with the party’s campaign to win 2017 elections.
He also did not “provide inspiring leadership to the party” and was mentioned in the Dubai gold saga in 2019.
Ford Kenya Party’s Organizing Secretary Chris Mandu was also ousted.
Currently, Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi has replaced Wetangula as leader of FORD party on an interim basis.
