Serving the most high? Police arrest 3 ferrying bhang in church bus in Voi

A church bus was on Tuesday intercepted in Voice ferrying bhang in Ndara area.

DCI detectives seized the bus under registration KCM 182J belonging to PEFA Church, North Coast region, and after a search, they found 230 rolls of bhang hidden in two black polythene bags that were stashed in a sack that had fish.

The bus was reportedly transporting funeral mourners from Homa Bay to Kilifi.

The bhang, according to police, has a street value of about Sh46,000.

Three suspects, among them Benjamin Mkapa Segea, 22, the owner of the consignment, were arrested and were detained at Voi police station.

The others are Emmanuel Katana Kombe, the driver and co-driver Daniel Mwagandi

Taita Taveta police commander Saidi Kiprotich said investigations are ongoing.
