Singer Akothee is planning to help a young disabled boy walk again by paying for his hospital bill. Shadrack and his mother were involved in a road accident when he was only 7 years old. His mother passed away on the spot and Shadrack also lost his left leg from the knee going downwards. He has been using a wheelchair ever since. However, Akothee is planning to buy him a prosthetic leg and cater for all the hospital costs.

“Shady’s day out with mommy, we have an appointment with the doctor. The journey to getting Shadrack walking again after he lost his left leg at the age of 7 in a road accident where he also lost his mother. They were travelling with his mother from Migori to Kisii. His mother ended her journey on the spot. Shadrack is here with us today. NEVER JUDGE ME, YOU DON’T KNOW MY STORY. GET TO LISTEN AND GIVE ME SUPPORT, IF YOU CAN’T, THEN DON’T CAUSE PAIN. JUST LET ME BE,” Akothee said.

The process of getting Shadrack to walk again will take about two weeks to one month. Shadrack is a school-going student and once normalcy returns, he will be able to attend school without a wheelchair.

“The procedure will take approximately 2 weeks to one month. Shadrack is a very energetic boy with a lot of energy. I want to enable him to walk to school. He is still a baby so once COVID-19 is over and schools open, he will go to school as a day schooler. At night he can go to the studio to manifest his gift of music. He wants to be a gospel artist,” the entrepreneur cum philanthropist said.

Shadrack wants to donate the wheelchair to someone in need because soon he won’t be needing it. Akothee encouraged those in need of the wheelchair to inbox Akothee Foundation on Instagram.
