Professor Ken Walibora, Kenya’s exemplary author, celebrated playwright,  popular Swahili news’ anchor and a contemporary scholar is dead.

In a practical replay of his outspoken book ‘Kidagaa Kimemwozea’, Prof. Ken Walibora’s time to give up the pen, and the microphone had come up.  NTV broke out the news of Walibora’s death on Wednesday morning. He was aged 56.

Ken Walibora

The accomplished author is famed for shaping the Swahili literary scene with curricullum setting texts. His most famous authorships include; Siku Njema, Kidagaa Kimemwozea, Naskia Sauti ya Mama, Ndoto ya Amerika and Kisasi Hapana. Ken was also a visible news anchor and the Kiswahili Quality Manager.at Nation Media Group.

He also served as a lecturer at the School of International Relations and Diplomacy at the Riara University.

His body was on Wednesday found at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) mortuary.

The literary veteran is alleged to have been knocked down by a matatu while crossing the road in the Landhies area of Nairobi.
